This film ist part of the series „Looking at Looking, Comprehending Comprehension“. The series consists of three experimental animated film on the philosophical ideas about perception and understanding. The film interprets short passages of original philosophical texts passages by Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, Jean Paul Sartre and Martin Heidegger. All three chapters refer to looking and comprehension, but their focus is different: "Hegel: Subjective Spirit" is concerned with the idea the self being defined by its perceptive nature.
